I am usually the queen of opening capsules and getting amazing things from them, but the recent caps have taunted me. I opened forty of the steam caps with no LE, had to trade for it. And now with this newest snowflake capsule, I have opened more than that many (fine, fine, more than 50. Rawr), with not a single retired item! Although at least I got the LE wig from it. But just look at that cap, sitting there, staring at me, all, "Hahahahaha, you can't have any retireds!" It's taunting me. I really super duper want a pair of Gingerbread Wings for my pet, Fructose. D:

Last night during rehearsal I was spacing out on the lyrics to the new songs we are learning for the New Years eve show at The Edison. Since our fans are the most awesome in the world, and since I lost my notes as to the actual lyrics, I went on line to get your copies, and printed them. Some of what you THOUGHT I said is hysterical! For example, this verse in Wanderlust goes: but the fan version said: I sang this fan version once, and Jody said "Wow, in THIS version your a douche!" Anyway, I'm correcting these now and will have them online soon. I'll post them here.

I'm working on making my first costume. I already have all the fabric for it but I'm having a hard time finding a pattern I can use to make the top.

I'm wondering if any of you lovely folk have heard of this event:  The Quest for Father Time! According to the website, it will take place on New Year's Eve in the following cities:

Unfortunately, it is damn near impossible to find a sitter to watch our two year old on New Year's eve, so my husband and I cannot attend.  However, several of our friends will be going to the Chicago event dressed in Steampunk attire.

The other day, the gang and I got a chance to experiment with a new still camera that shoots 1080p HD video.
I was given a day or two for prep, came up with this silly idea for an Over the Top funny steampunk short and 15 hours later here we are.
The Video was shot in 5 hours and edited in ten.
Please keep in mind when watching that this was just a fun project for me and the crew from Penny Dreadful Productions.

I understand it's not the greatest quality, there tons of continuity issues, awful lighting issues, and shaky camera moves, but hopefully everyone will enjoy it regardless.
The whole shoot in general was a real obstacle.

If this project were a real serious one i would hide this video from the eyes of any viewer, but This was just meant to be a fun experience, and a learning opportunity for shooting with the new cam, so all in all i'm happy with the results, even if they aren't to my usual standard.

Several weeks from now I'll have a very simple site to make available to a small group of people. It won't have either the look or functionality that I've described yet, it'll just be a skeleton to knock around.

So it's my little brother's birthday, and as little brothers don't tell big sisters what they want, I've decided to just buy him a lot of paintbrushes, which he collects. Unfortunately, people on the trading posts are being unresponsive (or just not responsive enough - I want these items before he comes back from school.)

Anyways, does anyone have paint brushes they're willing to sell at decent prices? I have 13 million I'd want to spend.

While hunting for some elusive worms I came upon the black worm on the Moltara caves, and on a hunch clicked on the Magma pool...
Yes! you guessed it, the guard was asleep and now I have a magma xweetok!
This event happened at 7:14am NST, just in case it's fixed ( like the snowager ).
Now I am just short on the rainbow and pink worms.
Hints in finding the damnable gears and rocks or just the plain gears are needed, I seem to have NO LUCK finding those things.

OK, I just have to say this - today's was one of the cutest advent animations I've ever seen! I loved the sound effects, too. Adorable. What did you guys think?
